Construction Material Testing is seeking a 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on concrete and industrial sites, delivering scan data and CAD-ready outputs. You will process data in Artec Studio and contribute to quality control and documentation for each project.

You should have hands-on scanner experience, CAD familiarity, and the ability to travel to regional hubs as needed. We sponsor relevant certifications for career growth.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
• Familiarity with Artec Studio or similar scan-processing software.
• Ability to read structural/fabrication drawings and CAD models.

Mansioni

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of construction elements before pours and for damaged structures.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlap zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving the job site.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, textures, exports to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, crack maps, and bolt coordinate reports vs drawings.
• Create scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) or hand-clean meshes for the modeling team.
• Document capture procedures, equipment settings, and chain of custody on forensic matters.
• Maintain scanners, batteries, and calibration records; coordinate access and safety.
