Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our growing nationwide client base. This role goes beyond basic installations, involving OTDR testing, fusion splicing, fault troubleshooting, and infrastructure documentation across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, and certification equipment.
• Understanding of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic systems.
• Ability to read network diagrams, splice schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of fiber optic and technical tasks including but not limited to: fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and certification.
• Fiber continuity testing and fault-distance identification.
• Connector inspection, cleaning, and remediation.
• Patch-cord troubleshooting and jumper replacement.
• Installation, termination, and testing of single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling.
• Identify and troubleshoot customer-premise and network impairments.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across diverse environments (retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, data centers).
