Job summary

Ritter Communications seeks an Installer I to install and repair voice, video, and high-speed data services for residential and small/medium business customers using copper, coax, and fiber. The role is field-based with a focus on service quality.

Responsibilities include installing services, grounding, locating faults, coordinating with dispatch, and assisting in FTTH and related installations. A high school diploma and one year telecom experience are required; valid driver’s license needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required with additional related technical training preferred.
• Must have one year of experience in the installation and repair of telecommunication equipment and services over both copper and HFC networks.

Responsibilities

• Installs all Ritter services including coax, copper, and fiber delivery; identifies correct cable pair in pedestals or terminal blocks.
• Installs proper grounding for drop, inside wiring, and station protectors.
• Locates trouble in service installations; repairs or replaces faults.
• Cooperates with dispatch and other departments to ensure installations meet standards and customer expectations.
• Takes 24-hour call periodically to resolve service problems in assigned systems.
