Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks an experienced Substation Fiber Technician to terminate, splice, document and test fiber optic lines within customer networks. Travel across multiple Minnesota sites is required, with EXFO equipment experience preferred and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Five years of fiber optic experience
• Experience with EXFO fiber equipment preferred
• Willingness to travel full-time
• Current fiber optic certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber tests with OTDRs, light sources and meters
• Terminate, splice, bond/ground and test fiber optic equipment
• Install fiber optic equipment and patch panels
• Read and understand blueprints, designs and work scopes
• Adhere to safety standards
