Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Technician for a full-time role. The candidate will terminate, splice, document, and test fiber optic lines within the customer network. Five years of experience and EXFO fiber equipment familiarity are preferred; willingness to travel is required.

Current fiber certifications are a plus. EPS offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Associates or Technical Degree preferred.
• CWDM and DWDM experience preferred.
• Experience in carrier technologies a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber tests with OTDRs, light source and meters.
• Terminate, splice, bond/ground and test fiber optic equipment to standards.
• Install fiber optic equipment and patch panels.
• Read and understand blue prints, designs and work scopes.
• Must have 5 years of previous experience.
• Travel as required.
