Job summary

Forged Fiber in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables across construction, operations, and restoration projects. You will read prints, work with OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers, and coordinate with crews to meet schedules while following OSHA and site safety practices.

This role requires outdoor work in all weather and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of fiber splicing/telecom outside-plant experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read and interpret construction prints, splice diagrams, maps or diagrams; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test fiber optic cable for construction projects, including maintenance and restoration.
• Troubleshoot and isolate fiber faults using OTDR, power meter, fiber identifiers, and scope.
• Read and interpret prints and diagrams to complete work accurately; coordinate with teams to meet schedules.
