Job summary

Forged Fiber is seeking a Fiber Tech II - Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling across construction, maintenance, and restoration tasks. The role is based at 4150 E Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032 and requires hands-on operation of tools such as OTDRs, fusion splicers, and testers to ensure reliable network performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of fiber splicing/OSP experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to read construction prints, splice diagrams, design maps, and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, test fiber optic cable for construction projects.
• Troubleshoot faults with OTDR, power meter, and related tools.
• Prepare and repair splice enclosures (aerial, buried, manholes).
• Perform aerial/underground work and assist with splices across cable types.
• Read As-Builts and create field splicing reports when required.
