Job summary

Globe Communications LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunication networks. Your splicing work ensures strong, reliable connections and data travels seamlessly across our growing network.

Under guidance, you will perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, test and troubleshoot circuits after installation, and document daily work with maps and material usage records. Safety and quality standards are emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate heights, from underground to aerial work.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Document work via daily production reports and map marking.
• Other duties as assigned.
