Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an OSP Field Engineer to support telecom fiber network field design validation and data collection. You will validate aerial, buried, and underground routes, capture precise measurements, and coordinate with the engineering team on field-to-desk handoffs.

The role requires 3+ years in telecom construction, GIS proficiency, and the ability to travel extensively. A high school diploma is required, and a company vehicle is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fiber/telecom construction or related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of GIS/Esri and reading as-built prints.

Responsibilities

• Identify, photograph, and document field facilities and related infrastructure.
• Measure attachment heights, span distances, and distances to lines and boundaries.
• Identify power/communication facilities on utility poles.
• Record bonding, grounding, and anchor information.
• Deliver detailed field notes and photos to engineering team.
• Identify obstructions and propose fiber placement mitigations.
• Read and interpret OSP construction designs and drawings.
• Use GIS maps, conduit records, and layout drawings.
• Operate tools and devices (measuring wheels, GPS, etc.).
• Work with electronic devices and maintain field documentation.
