Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an OSP Field Engineer to support telecom network validation and field design. You will document, measure, and photograph outdoor plant facilities, interpreting GIS maps and as-built drawings while coordinating with engineering teams.

The role requires travel across multiple states, a valid license, and pro-active problem solving. Pearce offers comprehensive benefits and a company vehicle for field work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fiber-optic/telecommunications/telecom construction
• Knowledge of outside plant design and Make-ready issues
• Ability to read as-built prints and layout drawings
• Familiar with GIS and shapefile functionality
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfort with extensive travel and on-site work

Responsibilities

• Identify, photograph, and document facilities and infrastructure.
• Capture measurements of heights, distances, and centerlines.
• Identify power/communication facilities and ownership on poles.
• Record bonding, grounding, and anchor data.
• Deliver field notes and photos to engineering team.
• Identify obstructions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Read digital GIS maps and layout drawings.
• Use measuring tools, GPS devices, and safety equipment.
