Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a seasoned OSP Field Engineer to perform in-depth site data collection for fiber networks, validating field designs for aerial, buried, and underground layouts. You will gather measurements, assess obstacles, and coordinate with engineers on-site across multiple projects.

The role requires 3+ years in fiber/telecom, GIS proficiency, and the ability to travel. A valid driver’s license and safety readiness are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fiber/telecom/construction.
• Knowledge of outside plant activities and make-ready issues.
• Ability to read as-built prints and GIS maps.
• Experience with GIS/ESRI/shapefile functionality.

Responsibilities

• Identify, photograph, and document detailed facilities: cables, poles, handholes, and other OSP assets.
• Record attachment heights, span distances, and distances to lines or property boundaries.
• Identify utilities/ownership on poles and record bonding and grounding details.
• Deliver field notes and photographs to the engineering team.
• Identify obstructions to fiber placement and propose mitigations.
