Pearce is hiring an OSP Field Engineer to collect detailed telecom site data and validate fiber network layouts across aerial, buried, and underground facilities. You will document facilities, capture precise measurements, and coordinate with engineering teams.

The role requires a working knowledge of fiber/OSP construction, GIS maps, and the ability to travel extensively. A valid driver's license and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fiber-optic/telecommunications/telecom construction
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with GIS, ESRI, and reading as-built prints
• Knowledge of OSP construction techniques and regulatory standards (RUS, NESC, NEC)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Identify and document facilities, cables, poles, and other OSP infrastructure
• Capture measurements of attachment heights and distances
• Identify power/communication facilities on utility poles
• Record bonding, grounding, guying, and anchor information
• Deliver field notes and photos to engineering team
• Identify obstructions and propose mitigation strategies
• Read GIS maps, conduit records, and layout drawings
• Operate tools like measuring wheels, GPS, rangefinders, and tablets
