Job summary

Pearce is seeking an OSP Field Engineer to perform field data collection for telecommunications infrastructure across North America. You will validate field designs for aerial, buried, and underground fiber networks and support the engineering team with precise field notes and photography.

Candidates should have 3+ years in telecom construction, GIS reading skills, and a valid driver's license. This role requires extensive travel and outdoor work, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the fiber-optic/telecommunications/telecom construction industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand as-built prints and GIS maps.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Identify, photograph, and document detailed information of required facilities.
• Capture measurements of attachment heights, span distances, and centerlines.
• Identify power and communication facilities and ownership on utility poles.
• Record bonding, grounding, guying, and anchor information.
• Deliver detailed field notes and photographs to the engineering team.
• Identify obstructions to fiber placement and propose mitigation strategies.
• Understand OSP construction techniques and GIS/map data.
