Job summary
RiseMe is seeking a Service Technician to perform quality installation practices, upgrades, disconnects and troubleshooting of video, voice and internet services. You will handle fiber optic troubleshooting, router and Wi‑Fi configuration, and on-site drops from the demarc to the customer premises.
The role requires experience with cable and fiber installations, ladder work, and availability for on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
- Fiber optic cabling experience required.
- Active and clean state driver’s license; comfortable heights.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; associates preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform reconnects, disconnects, and service changes per procedures.
- Troubleshoot fiber optic links at 1310/1490/1550 nm.
- Configure routers, access points, and Wi‑Fi.
- Troubleshoot IP and LAN from demarc to customer premises.
- Install CAT5/CAT6 drop wire and connectors.
- Work on on-call rotation; weekends as needed.
- Identify fiber connectors; test and tone drop wires.
