Job summary

You’ll also perform site walks, document field activity, and maintain patch panels with proper labeling. On-call rotation (evenings/weekends) and a potential permanent employment path are included.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in data center/ISP/telecom field tech role
• Knowledge of data center equipment and network components
• Experience troubleshooting network outages and incidents
• Familiar with patch panels and cabling practices
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and after-hours work

Responsibilities

• Support activation of customer services at data centers and network sites
• Troubleshoot outages and identify failed components and remediation steps
• Perform field walkouts and collect GPS coordinates for sites and vaults
• Document field activity and prepare reports for upload to OneDrive
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and site technicians on installations and activations
• Maintain patch panels and ensure proper cable management and labeling
• Cover designated markets and participate in on-call rotations
• Complete one remote/home-office day per week for reporting/administration
