Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a skilled Field Services Technician - Tier I to join our team. You will perform on-site residential installations, configuring routers, modems, and Wi-Fi gateways, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Travel across our service areas and work in varying conditions using a company vehicle. You will manage ticketed schedules, document service activities, and uphold safety protocols while climbing ladders and operating bucket trucks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in telecommunications, networking, or field service.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Lift up to 70 lbs and operate bucket trucks in safety.
• Flexible schedule including Saturdays and Sundays.
• Willingness to obtain a class E license if offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent installations and repairs for residential customers.
• Install and configure customer equipment, including routers, modems, and Wi‑Fi gateways.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by being professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.
• Install, terminate, and test network cabling, adhering to codes and standards.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of service activities.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean driving record and represent Socket in the field.
