Job summary

Rice & Gardner, a subsidiary of Project Control and Raba Kistner, seeks a Procurement Coordinator in the Houston, TX area to assist with FF&E procurement and installation, maintenance gear, and other items for new or remodeled facilities.

The role involves planning FF&E, maintaining vendor catalogs, preparing requisitions, and sourcing competitive prices while supporting project teams and client needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 40 college hours or 4 years in school business, governmental accounting, construction management, or combination thereof.
• Current valid state driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and creation of Furniture, Fixture and Equipment.
• Maintain current vendor lists and catalog resources.
• Prepare and finalize requisitions for timely orders.
• Identify sources for competitive prices and terms.
• Maintain files on FF&E items ordered.
• Assist with vendor issue reconciliations including billing and warranty.
• Assist clients with warranty repair access when applicable.
• Work with program reps to ensure equity.
• Promote relationships with schools, departments, vendors, and the community.
• Attendance is an essential function.
• Monitor assembly/installation of furniture; some work on weekends.
• Assist project managers during design, construction, and closeout activities.
