Job summary

UC Irvine Health, Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, is seeking a Health Profns Educ Spec 2 to oversee administrative duties for ACGME and non-ACGME trainee programs. Responsibilities include onboarding, orientation, interviews, site visits, and coordinating surveys and events while maintaining strict deadlines.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and MedHub, and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
• Basic knowledge of health professions education industry.
• Administrative analysis and operations research; developing and implementing processes and systems.
• Communication skills; verbal, written, and active listening; service oriented.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop relationships within the department and with learners.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage extremely complex calendars and schedules with precision.
• Knowledge of educational technology and systems; troubleshoot related issues.
• Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills; data entry, extraction, and reporting in electronic systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 3-5 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding process for incoming trainees and orientations.
• Coordinate trainee interviews and oversee site visits.
• Provide administrative support for GME online surveys and related processes.
• Attend GME and Internal Pathology coordinator meetings and trainee workshops.
• Collaborate with Program Director, Assistant Program Director, and Coordinators to ensure surveys are completed and deadlines met.
• Coordinate graduation events, trainee retreats, and reimbursements for trainees.
