University of California, Irvine is seeking a Health Professions Education Specialist 2 within the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine department to oversee trainee duties for ACGME and non-ACGME programs. You will coordinate onboarding, orientation, interviews, site visits, and assist with surveys and evaluations.
The role requires strong organization, communication, and data skills, with experience in coordinating fellowship programs, and knowledge of ACGME/GME guidelines.

The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at UC Irvine Health School of Medicine is dedicated to the diagnosis and understanding of human diseases through biomedical and clinical research. The department's residency and fellowship programs are located at UC Irvine Medical Center.
Under the general supervision of the Administrative Supervisor the Health Profns Educ Spec 2 for the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine department will be responsible for the trainees duties for both ACGME and non-ACGME trainee Programs. Duties include: manage onboarding process for incoming trainees; coordinate orientation for incoming trainees; coordinate trainee interviews for the department; provide administrative support for site visits; attend all GME and Internal Pathology coordinator meetings; attend trainee workshops and conferences; work with Program Director, Assistant Program Director and Program Coordinators to ensure all ACGME, ADS, ABPath and GME online surveys are completed in a timely manner; coordinate graduation and trainee retreat; coordinate all reimbursements for trainees. Candidate ability to meet deadlines and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously with careful attention to detail and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to organize and analyze information and material, identify omissions and duplications and make appropriate corrections. Interpersonal skills to effectively develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, staff, and students. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to obtain and convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive materials and issues. Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and MedHub. Experience working as a coordinator of an ACGME-accredited fellowship program. Knowledge of ACGME & GME guidelines, policies and procedures.
