Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric home health services. You will assess, diagnose, and treat feeding, speech, language, and swallowing disorders for children 0-21, delivering therapy 2+ times weekly in home or daytime facility settings.

Candidates should hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Texas license, and pediatric experience; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • CCC-SLP certification or CFY completion.
  • Texas licensure required.
  • Pediatrics experience required; home health preferred.
  • Spanish bilingual a plus; driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2+ times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
  • Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program.
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
  • Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
  • Experience in pediatrics required
  • Home health experience preferred
  • Feeding Experience required
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
