Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric speech therapy in patients' homes and at daytime facilities for ages 0–21. You will assess, diagnose, and treat communication, feeding, and oral-motor disorders, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Training caregivers and staff is a key part of your role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of the Clinical Fellowship year (CCC-SLP).
• Texas licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience with pediatric populations.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Feeding experience required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week.
• Define patients' speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, and related impairments using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and write diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and advise on speech therapy modalities.
• Plan and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants with 3+ years of experience.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred
• Feeding Experience required
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
