Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Garland, Texas is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, schedule supervision with your SLP supervisor, and design individualized care plans to help children reach their highest potential while pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Feeding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patient's home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visits with the supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
