Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Tech to oversee maintenance and repairs of feed mill machinery including screw conveyors, elevators, boilers, pellet mills, hammer mills and VFD drives. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

You will perform daily maintenance, follow SOPs, develop a preventive maintenance program with the maintenance supervisor, and manage critical parts inventory while upholding a strong safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1 year of successful industrial maintenance experience required.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting, repair and assembly of feed mill equipment.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks on assigned equipment areas following SOPs.
• Replace, adjust, install feed mill equipment as needed and maintain maintenance records.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program and monitor production schedules.
