Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced Federal Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead complex water infrastructure programs for federal agencies in the United States, including planning, design, and construction support. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 7 years related experience.
• A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
• Ability to interact with various design teams and demonstrate excellent organizational, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and oversee all phases of complex, multidisciplinary projects from planning and design through construction support and project closeout.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while aligning with client objectives, budget expectations, and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with federal and military clients, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
• Support business development activities, including marketing efforts, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and project pursuits.
• Facilitate project planning, design development, and contract document review sessions with clients, technical staff, and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources and staffing across multiple disciplines to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
• Collaborate with HDR leadership to monitor project performance and drive successful outcomes.
• Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures to ensure technical excellence and compliance with project requirements.
• Support staff development initiatives and implement training programs aligned with HDR's objectives.
• Lead and mentor project teams, coaching and developing less-experienced Project Managers and professionals.
• Monitor project financial performance and maintain accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risk, and profitability.
• Maintain professional engineering licensure and stay informed of industry trends.
