BigID seeks a Sr. Solutions / Presales Engineer – Federal to join the Federal Solutions Engineering team. You will partner with the Federal Sales team to deliver tailored product demonstrations, run hands-on POCs, and own responses to RFPs and security questionnaires in government environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise pre-sales, experience with U.S. Federal agencies, and fluency in FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, ITAR.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales engineering or consulting role within an enterprise software or federal systems environment.
• Experience with U.S. Federal agencies or defense-related organizations.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA, ITAR, and CMMC.
• Broad understanding of enterprise data architecture, privacy, and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Scripting and API skills: Python, Bash, REST APIs for integrations and POVs.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to executives and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for BigID’s platform alongside the Federal Sales team during agency calls and procurement processes.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations to federal stakeholders including CISOs and program officers.
• Design, build, and run hands-on POCs/POVs in federal environments, including sensitive data contexts.
• Own responses to RFIs/RFPs and security questionnaires.
• Handle technical objections and competitive positioning with federal customers.
• Advise on solution architecture within FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA, ITAR compliance.
• Stay current on competitive federal solutions and drive customer success.
