Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Associate, Senior Mechanical Engineer – Federal to lead and deliver complex HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for federal projects. You will mentor teams, drive business development, and be a trusted advisor to clients across California and the US West, using Revit and related design tools.

Role requires 15+ years in mechanical HVAC design for buildings, PE license, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited curriculum in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer for buildings.
• Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
• Knowledge of Plumbing system design is preferred.
• Familiarity with sustainable design principles; LEED Green Associate or LEED AP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Federal project delivery from planning through construction.
• Mentor engineers, designers, and project leaders.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare basis-of-design narratives and construction documents.
• Lead project meetings across offices.
