Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer focused on HVAC and plumbing design to deliver project outcomes for diverse building types. You will work with architects, civil, electrical and structural engineers, coordinating design solutions from concept through construction documents.

The role requires collaboration under supervision on smaller projects and as part of larger teams on bigger initiatives, with travel both domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited curriculum in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the buildings design industry preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering skills to the design and oversight of building projects.
• Produce design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for projects.
• Coordinate with the design team and attend client project meetings.
• Design HVAC and plumbing systems, sizing and selecting components.
• Perform water, waste, gas calculations and field survey work.
