Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Law Clerk to join our Legal Department in a full‑time, mid‑level capacity in Tampa, FL. The role supports a federal agency with litigation tasks, including research, cite checking, and document review.

You will draft motions, briefs, and memoranda, review new cases, and assist attorneys through all phases of litigation while applying blue‑book rules and research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw. A strong legal foundation is required.

Qualifications

• Requires JD or current ABA‑accredited law school study with at least one year completed
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and research procedures
• Proficiency with LEXIS and Westlaw for legal research

Responsibilities

• Performs complex legal research for trial staff and litigation support
• Assists in drafting motions, briefs, and memoranda of law
• Cite checks via online legal research tools and blue book formatting
• Reviews cases and conducts research on pertinent laws
