Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks a Project Development Engineer in the federal market to support our Energy Solutions team. The role emphasizes energy analysis, HVAC design, and performance contracting with clients in government projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, be self-motivated, and collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver high-performance building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
• 1–3+ years in Energy Services or federal market-focused engineering/commissioning preferred.
• Familiarity with DOE/Army Corps IDIQ contract requirements.
• Experience with building simulation and ECM energy savings calculations.
• Knowledge of UMCS and their operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building and system audits.
• Perform energy analysis and savings calculations.
• Write reports on project aspects and findings.
• Attend meetings with Project Manager and clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
