CMTA, a Legence company, is looking for a Senior Project Development Engineer in the federal market to help in our Energy Solutions offices. The successful candidate thrives on helping clients and has a strong technical background in performance contracting and energy engineering.

The role involves leading site visits, audits, energy calculations, directing the design team, bidding, and contract development for federal projects, with emphasis on HVAC and energy systems integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting/commissioning firm in the federal market.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
• Familiarity with DOE/Army Corps of Engineers IDIQ contract requirements.
• Knowledge of building energy systems including HVAC, building automation, lighting, envelope, and domestic water systems.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and explain performance contracting to potential clients.
• Lead the development phase including site visits, audits, energy calculations, and analyses.
• Direct the engineering design team producing drawings and specifications.
• Direct the bidding process and develop the final contract with the client.
• Coordinate with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Direct the commissioning process and be involved during warranty phase as required.
• Collaborate with M&V professionals to develop the first-year M&V report.
