Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Project Development Engineer in the federal market to support our Energy Solutions offices. The role emphasizes self-motivation, strong technical background, and transitioning HVAC/engineering experience into energy engineering within our Energy Solutions group.

The candidate should have 1–3+ years in energy services or a consulting/commissioning firm, with familiarity in DOE/Army Corps IDIQ requirements and basic utility baseline calibration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 1–3+ years of experience in energy services or federal market preferred.
• Familiarity with DOE and Army Corps of Engineers IDIQ contract requirements, and knowledge of UMCS and related operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building and system audits.
• Perform energy analysis and savings calculations.
• Write reports on project aspects.
• Attend meetings with Project Manager and clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
