Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead projects with the Project Superintendent, guiding scope, schedule, budget and coordination with clients, design teams and subcontractors. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and successful project delivery across the lifecycle.

The candidate will manage preconstruction activities, submittals, and change orders, and will communicate status regularly while supporting Lean practices and continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years construction management experience.
• Experience coordinating with design teams, subcontractors and owners.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and documentation.
• Advanced MS Office and project management software skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules across complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and leadership for entire project or sections of a larger project.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors.
• Lead safety culture and ensure injury-free environment through mentoring.
• Manage prestart, trade coordination, cost and scope management.
• Prepare and manage submittals, shop drawings and change requests.
• Develop and update project schedules, monitor progress and resources.
• Produce regular project status reports and financial projections.
• Closeout the project with documentation, warranties and punch lists.
