Job summary

Emerging Tech seeks a Director of Business Development to lead our federal government growth strategy in the DC area. You will own the full BD lifecycle from opportunity identification to capture, proposal development, and award, building a strong pipeline and orchestrating cross-functional teams.

In this role you will manage relationships with Contracting Officers and program managers, drive recompete and expansion efforts, and align growth with delivery capabilities across the federal

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant business development, capture management, or proposal leadership experience in government contracting.
• Demonstrated track record of winning federal contracts as a prime contractor or major subcontractor.
• Experience building and managing a qualified federal opportunity pipeline.
• Working knowledge of federal acquisition processes, FAR/DFARS, and small business contracting mechanisms, including 8(a) and set-aside opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline across target federal agencies and contract vehicles.
• Identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities aligned with ET's capabilities and growth strategy.
• Lead go/no-go decisions and capture strategies for prioritized opportunities.
• Own the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission and award.
• Coordinate teaming strategies, win themes, pricing inputs, staffing considerations, and proposal development.
