Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a seasoned Federal Alternative Delivery Market Lead to drive strategy and partnerships with national and regional General Contractors for programs like Progressive Design-Build and Design-Build to Budget. You will lead early teaming conversations and build executive relationships that position CDM Smith as a premier design partner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency varies with duties.

Responsibilities

• Target regional and national General Contractors pursuing federal alternative delivery contracts.
• Position CDM Smith as the preferred designer early in procurement cycles and negotiate exclusivity, teaming terms, and scopes of work.
• Present engineering expertise, constructability, cost validation, design-phase management, risk mitigation, and phased delivery models to General Contractor teams.
• Lead teaming strategy for DoD and other federal opportunities by translating procurement criteria into competitive subcontract structures.
• Collaborate with federal CSLs to maintain a pipeline of federal opportunities and next actions.
• Monitor federal agency movement toward accelerated delivery and align pursuit resources with prime contractor interest.
• Identify and resolve friction points between the contractor and architect-engineer during design validation and cost reconciliation.
• Serve as the senior relationship and capture lead through teaming agreements and transition to pursuit teams.
