Job summary

Sonatype, the software supply chain security leader, is seeking an Account Executive, Federal, to accelerate net-new logo acquisition in civilian agencies, defense nodes, and federal frameworks in the Washington DC metro area.

You will manage 30+ high-velocity deals with inbound/outbound activity, navigate public procurement processes, and partner with pre-sales, legal, and channel networks to close business smoothly.

Qualifications

• Transition from BDR/Inside Sales to full quota-carrying AE
• Ability to manage 30+ active deal cycles concurrently
• Foundational understanding of public procurement concepts (FAR, procurement vehicles) or quick learner

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle, high-velocity territory within Federal DC Metro or Central SLED
• Prospect, qualify, and close high-velocity transactions with public sector buyers
• Lead responses to RFIs/RFPs and agency solicitations with internal teams
• Collaborate with channel partners and regional distributors to accelerate transactions
• Position Sonatype’s SBOM and AppSec solutions as essential compliance standards
