Job summary

The Tom James Company is hiring a full-time Sales Assistant in Newton, MA. The role supports the sales team, store leaders, and executives, coordinating client orders, communications, and appointments. Regular onsite attendance is required.

40 hours per week at $23.00 per hour with PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) plan. Bring strong organizational and communication skills and a customer-service mindset to a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Two years office-related experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Professional customer service skills.
• Social media savvy, especially LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs suites.
• Ability to balance accounts with basic accounting skills.
• Willingness to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Driver’s License required unless in larger metro areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for daily client visits and update sales materials.
• Coordinate and maintain client orders/files; track A/R balances and sales sheet.
• Communicate with clients; set appointments and provide order status.
• Support sales professional; manage daily calendar and inventory.
• Prospect new clients via internet and social media; enter referrals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service with factories, offices, clients and vendors.
