Fresno City College seeks qualified part-time instructors for its Fashion Merchandising program to join an ongoing applicant pool. The role involves teaching Fashion Merchandising courses in person, online or hybrid formats, employing diverse teaching methods, and engaging with a diverse student body to promote student success.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and professional experience, with equity-minded teaching at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related professional experience.
• Associate degree and six years of directly related professional experience.
• A valid California Community College Credential.
• The equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency).
• Note: If degrees do not match exactly on transcripts, petition for equivalency.

Responsabilités

• Teach a part-time schedule of Fashion Merchandising courses as assigned.
• Use a variety of pedagogies and delivery systems (face-to-face, online, hybrid).
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Use teaching methods aligned with approved outlines of record.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments and exams.
• Provide course syllabi to students and maintain records in accordance with policy.
• Turn in all required grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
• Teach assignments in various settings and times, including as needed.
• Fulfill duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
