Job summary

Fresno City College, part of the State Center Community College District, is seeking Education Instructors to join a part-time faculty pool for Fresno City College. The role focuses on equity-minded leadership and serving a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population in a collegial, collaborative environment.

Instructors will teach Education courses, utilize varied pedagogies for multiple formats, and participate in culturally relevant professional development to support student

Qualifications

• Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Ability to apply equity-minded practices to teaching and student engagement.
• Commitment to closing equity gaps through inclusive pedagogy and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Education courses as assigned, including supervision of students at site placements.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff and provide course syllabi.
• Maintain classroom records and timely grading/evaluation reporting.
• Fulfill duties of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 and other duties as assigned.
