Fresno City College is seeking an equity‑minded Communication Arts Instructor to join our part‑time faculty pool. The instructor will teach Communication Arts courses in a way that centers student success and inclusivity, using a range of delivery methods including online and hybrid formats.

The ideal candidate will bring experience with diverse student populations, collaboration with colleagues, and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated equity-minded practice in diverse classrooms.
• Ability to engage a racially, socioeconomically diverse student population.
• Petition for equivalency if degrees do not exactly match stated qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Communication Arts courses as assigned.
• Use varied pedagogies and delivery systems including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines and course objectives.
• Evaluate student progress with tests, assignments and exams.
• Provide course syllabi and maintain classroom records.
• Submit grading and evaluation reports timely.
• Fulfilling all duties as required by Administrative Regulation 7122 and other duties as assigned.
