Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island (FSRI) seeks staff to coach and support families during parental visits with children in care. The role involves coordinating with DCYF, producing weekly visitation summaries and court letters, and offering case management support to strengthen parenting skills and progress toward reunification.

Ideal candidates will have experience with families in human services, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team,

Qualifications

• Experience working with families and children in human services, education, or child welfare.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred.
• Strong writing abilities to document visits and correspondence.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic mainframe systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to work flexible evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, support, supervision and education during parental visits with children placed out of the home.
• Communicate with DCYF weekly visitation summaries and court letters.
• Coordinate with families and providers to support treatment work.
• Provide case management services.
• Provide transportation for children to and from visits as needed.
