Hively in Oakland, CA seeks a Family Support Specialist to guide families in finding and paying for quality child care, ensuring children start strong. You will certify families for CalWORKs/CAPP, conduct intake orientations, and provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS in social services or related field, possess strong data skills, and speak multiple languages.

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS in social services or related field required.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Knowledge of business office procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
• Basic math skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Punctual and able to follow directions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Farsi, Punjabi or Hindi.

Aufgaben

• Interview, enroll, and certify families for CalWORKs and/or CAPP Child Care Program.
• Schedule appointments and complete re-certifications.
• Present intake orientation as needed.
• Conduct group intake appointments as needed.
• Respond to and resolve parent and provider issues.
• Maintain and update family, child and program files.
• Input data into the computer system accurately and promptly.
• Respond to public information requests.
• Travel to co-locations and satellite Hively offices as needed.
• Attend trainings, workshops and staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
