Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to provide service provision and housing assistance for families in the Affordable Housing Portfolio. You will collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain partnerships and expand resources for residents.

The role focuses on trauma-informed care, life skills training, and motivational interviewing to support residents’ wellbeing and stability in an affordable housing setting.

Qualifications

• College degree in human services, social work, or related field.
• At minimum, one full year working with families.
• Criminal and civil background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs-based assessments and community outreach.
• Provide case management and support housing retention.
• Connect residents to income resources and public benefits.
• Advocate and liaison between residents and providers; assist with job placement and education programs.
• Coordinate health, wellness, and educational programs tailored to resident needs; engage youth when applicable.
