Job summary

The YMCA of Southern North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Family Engagement Coordinator in Wilmington, NC. You will oversee the Child Watch program, plan and run birthday parties, and design family-friendly activities that strengthen member connections.

Role involves hands-on programming with children, event planning (Kid’s Night Out), and administrative duties to ensure smooth operation. CPR/First Aid may be required and scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication with all ages.
• Interpersonal & coaching skills; supervisory experience a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days; safety and emergency awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all members, staff, volunteers, and guests by building positive relationships.
• Oversee Child Watch program and manage YMCA Birthday Party experiences.
• Design and implement engaging programs for youth and families to enhance member experience.
• Lead activities hands-on and during events when coverage is unavailable.
• Collaborate with other directors and departments to support YMCA programs and operations.
• Fulfilling essential administrative responsibilities to keep programs running smoothly.
