Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking a Part-Time Childwatch Associate to support safe, engaging activities for children in our program. You will supervise kids, maintain the space, and foster positive relationships with families, with a focus on belonging and achievement.

You will work part-time, gain access to YMCA membership benefits, and participate in staff training and safety practices while delivering quality youth programming.

Qualifications

• CPR & First Aid certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Minimum age 16 and prior experience with children preferred.
• Ability to implement age-appropriate activities and build positive relationships with children and families.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Implements and participates in activities that develop youth within guidelines.
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming promoting achievement and belonging.
• Supervise children, program space, and activities following procedures and standards.
• Maintain a safe environment for children in Child Watch.
