Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking a Part Time Childwatch Associate in Clinton, NC. You will supervise and engage children, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and partner with families to provide a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, and promoting YMCA programs. CPR/First Aid and child-care experience are preferred, with a 16+ age requirement and the ability to relate well to diverse families.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications completed within 30 days of hire.
• Experience working with children in developmental settings preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Implements and participates in activities that develop youth within guidelines.
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming to build achievement and belonging.
• Supervises children and program space, follows all procedures and standards.
• Maintains a safe environment for children in Child Watch.
• Engages parents as volunteers and links them to YMCA activities.
