The Nir Family YMCA in North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Child Watch Associate to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and to deliver age-appropriate activities under supervision. This role supports youth development, maintains program spaces, and promotes YMCA values.

You will engage parents, encourage volunteer involvement, and help maintain safety procedures while building belonging and positive relationships with families in our community.

Qualifications

• CPR & First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire date.
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred – minimum age of 16 is required.
• Ability to implement and participate in age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities for the children in Child Watch.

Responsabilités

• Implements and participates in activities that develop youth within the established guidelines.
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
• Supervises the children, program space, and all activities including following all procedures and standards.
• Maintains a healthy and safe environment for the participating children in Child Watch.
• Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA.
