Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based care across multiple Elmhurst and River Forest locations in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, teamwork with MAs, radiologic techs, and physicians, and a hospitality-minded patient experience.

The position requires an NP with Illinois/Indiana licensure, strong communication, and the ability to balance clinical expertise with high-quality documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests including labs and radiology.
• Perform procedures (laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, DOT physicals, occupational medicine).
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
