Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. You will teach LifeWise classes when needed, implement the LifeWise curriculum, and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom while upholding LifeWise policies.

• Must maintain a mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
