Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to demonstrate Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching students.

You will complete substitute teacher training and teach LifeWise classes as needed, implementing the curriculum, maintaining a safe, organized classroom, and following the program's discipline policy.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Communicate with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
