Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time substitute teacher to support its biblical education program. You will participate in training, assist in LifeWise classes, and deliver lessons with the provided curriculum.

You will maintain a safe, orderly classroom, follow LifeWise policies, take attendance, and communicate plans with the teacher and volunteers as needed; active church involvement is valued.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program’s student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
